Spring awakenings is a children's Tragedy, and the German title: Frühlings Erwachen

The play focuses on a story of teenagers awakening in Frank Wedekinds eyes of Germany at Autum 1890. Because of the nature of its content, the play was banned out of the United States. The 1917 performance was almost shut down due to Justice claiming the play was vulgair. By an interference of the court, the play went on, but it failed to succeed after a single performance.
